Hey everyone! I'm not very tech-savvy, but I'd like to hear your thoughts on my situation. My new PC, which is less than a month old, is showing CPU temperatures between 80°C to 83°C while I'm gaming. When I push the graphics settings to high, it maxes out around 83°C. I have four fans and an AIO cooler (240mm) installed. Should I be worried about these temperatures? Here's what I'm playing: Elder Scrolls Online, Sims 3, and Fortnite. My specs are:
- Motherboard: MSI B650M PROJECT ZERO Micro ATX DDR5 WIFI
- Memory: Corsair Vengeance 32GB (2x16GB) 5200Mhz C40 DDR5
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600, 6 Core, 12 Thread
- GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 5070 12GB
- Cooler: MSI MAG Coreliquid E240 240mm RGB Liquid Cooler
- PSU: MSI A850GL 850W ATX3.0 Gold Certified
- Storage: 2x 2TB Kingston SSD (no HDD)

As others mentioned, Ryzen CPUs are designed to run hotter, and as long as you don't hit that 95°C threshold, you shouldn't worry too much. Just keep an eye on it! Also, if your idle temp is around 50°C, that seems pretty normal for the workload.
It sounds like you're within an okay range for your CPU, especially since AMD chips can actually handle temperatures up to around 95°C during heavy loads. If you're not experiencing any stuttering or graphical glitches in your games, you should be fine. However, do check your BIOS settings; tweaking them can lower your CPU temps even more. Just make sure your airflow in the case is optimal too!
Thanks for the reassurance! I'll look into the BIOS settings like you suggested.
I appreciate that info! It's good to know I don't need to panic just yet.
