Is a 9070XT a good match for the 9800X3D?

I'm upgrading my kids' builds using the Microcenter 9800X3D bundle. My daughter needs a new GPU to replace her blocked 3060 and is considering the 9070XT. I usually prefer NVIDIA cards, so I'm curious if the 9070XT would be powerful enough to pair with the 9800X3D. Is it a solid choice?

The 9070XT is actually a bit more powerful than the 5070Ti with the latest upgrades. It's a decent combo for casual gaming, but the 9800X3D might be more than you need unless you're aiming for competitive performance.

Hey, just a heads-up—some videos have debunked those specs, so it’s worth checking various reviews to see real-world performance!

While a 5090 would be a better match, the 9070XT packs plenty of power on its own. It'll pair decently with the 9800X3D, especially for most gaming scenarios.

At Microcenter, the 9070XT is priced at $600 if you buy it with the 9800X3D, which is a solid deal. If you find it for $700, consider the 5070 Ti for $750 instead. The 9070XT definitely gives good value at $600, but check stock availability too!

The 9070XT should work great with the 9800X3D! You can really pair any GPU with that CPU since it's such a powerhouse. If the 9070XT offers the performance your daughter wants and fits within your budget, go for it! Using benchmarks can help you compare its expected performance against other options too.
