I'm new to Linux but feel like I have a good grasp on commands and might be ready for a challenge. I'm considering using an Arch-based distro as a way to learn more, even though I'm aware I might make mistakes along the way. Should I go for it?

Honestly, the best way to learn is by making mistakes. Just know that diving into Arch right off the bat might be overwhelming. If you’re okay with digging into the Arch wiki and troubleshooting, then go ahead!

If you want to experiment, use Ventoy to create a bootable USB with both Mint and Arch .isos. Boot from it and see which feels right for you. Learning through trial and error can be very effective!

Definitely! If you can read instructions and are willing to learn, you'll manage just fine. While Arch can be tricky to install, there are several user-friendly versions like Garuda that are based on Arch, making it easier for newcomers.

It's really up to your learning style. If you're patient and willing to dive into resources, I say go for it! But if you prefer a smoother experience, maybe try something like Mint or Ubuntu first.

I started with Mint, but I wish I'd jumped into Arch sooner. You learn a lot when things go wrong. Just be ready for the challenges and don’t hesitate to use YouTube and the Arch wiki for support!
