Is Debian 13 a Good Choice for Beginners?

I'm relatively new to Linux, having explored it for about a month. I've tried Ubuntu and Pop!_OS, with Pop!_OS being my favorite, but I'm looking to switch to something a bit more stable following their latest COSMIC release, which is still in the works. I've seen some amazing Arch setups online like "caelestia dots" but found them not very user-friendly for daily use. My laptop specs are ASUS TUF F15 with an i5 10th gen processor, 8GB RAM, 512GB NVMe SSD, and NVIDIA GTX1650Ti. I primarily use my laptop for media consumption, light gaming, video editing with DaVinci Resolve, and programming in Python on VS Code. I'm curious if Debian 13 would work well for my use case and what desktop environments or window managers I should consider.

Definitely! Debian can be a solid choice, especially if you prioritize stability. Using a desktop environment like KDE could suit you well since it's familiar and user-friendly, much like Pop!_OS. Just make sure that the essential software you need is available.

Good point—but just to clarify, Pop!_OS mainly uses GNOME as its default, not KDE as you might expect from Ubuntu.
