Is it a good idea to include numbers in a domain name?

I'm starting my first web development agency and I'm considering a domain name that combines a word with a number (like hello24.com or development42.com). I'm curious if having numbers in the domain could negatively affect SEO or if it might make the name harder for people to remember or type in correctly. Has anyone had experience using a domain with numbers? Did you run into any issues?

If the number is part of your brand, it's usually just fine! It won't directly hurt your SEO, as long as it's clear and easy to understand.

Google has stated that numbers in domain names don't impact search rankings. The potential drawback is related to branding and could cause some confusion when typing it in.

I have c00l.site, and I thought it would work well for subdomains. I wonder if that's a bad idea?

From an SEO perspective, numbers are perfectly okay—Google hasn't indicated any penalties for having them. The main issue is how people perceive and communicate your domain, especially verbally. For example, if you tell someone to visit hello24.com, make sure it’s super clear; it’s better when the numbers have a connection to the brand, like implying 24/7 service.
