Is it a smart move to power a fan using my phone’s battery via OTG?

I recently got a fan designed to attach to my cell phone to help cool it down. However, the fan only lasts about fifty minutes on its own. When the battery runs low, I'm considering using an OTG connection to power it from my phone instead. For those experienced with this sort of thing, would connecting the fan to my phone be a good idea, or could it cause issues?

I use a desktop fan instead—it works wonders! If my phone's hot, chances are I'm overheating too. The Dreo air circulator is my go-to for this.

Sure, you can power the fan that way, but just know it might drain your phone's battery faster, especially if you're gaming. If you're playing something intense like Genshin Impact, you might find your battery will drop quicker than you expect.

It's a bit of a mixed bag. If you're running your phone hard and it gets hot, using that fan could help, but remember that the fan will pull as much power as it can, which can make your phone work harder. It's key to consider whether your phone actually needs cooling. How hot does it really get?

I wouldn't recommend it. Just seems like a recipe for draining your phone battery too fast.
