I'm currently using two 16GB sticks of 3200MHz RAM and I'm contemplating an upgrade to 64GB. Should I go for two additional 16GB sticks of the same RAM or invest in two 32GB sticks, which are pricier? How much of a performance boost can I expect from this upgrade, if any? Is the extra $120 for the 32GB sticks worth it?

Upgrading from 32GB to 64GB won’t really give you a boost unless you're into heavy rendering or similar tasks. For gaming, the difference is negligible. In fact, switching from two 16GB sticks to four might even hurt your performance unless your new RAM is significantly faster. If you’re running 2x16 at 3200MHz, you likely won't notice a performance increase. I'd suggest saving that money for a different upgrade, like a new GPU!

I get that, but some of the games I play are super resource-hungry. For instance, Escape from Tarkov crashes occasionally due to resource exhaustion. I’ve checked event viewer and my RAM usage spikes during intense moments. It’s a bit rough on older games too, like Oblivion remastered, with heavy particle effects causing issues.
