Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my PC and I'm considering moving from DDR4 to DDR5. I plan on buying a new GPU too. My budget is €1600, and I was thinking of going for an RTX 5070, a Ryzen 7 9850X3D, a B850 AORUS Elite WiFi 7 motherboard, and 2x16 GB of 6000 MHz RAM with CL30. This total comes to €1600 here in Germany. I'm wondering if there's a better setup I could get within this budget. I'm mostly going to play esports titles like CS:GO and Marvel Rivals at 1080p with low settings. I think it might be smarter to allocate more of my budget towards the CPU. Also, would an ASUS Prime 750W 80+ Gold PSU be enough for this build? I believe it was rated B+ on the PSU tier list.

You might want to consider downgrading to a 7800X3D and getting a B650 motherboard instead. This could allow you to bump your GPU to the 5070 Ti, or even a 9070 XT if you’re focused purely on gaming. The 9850X3D isn’t going to give you that much of a performance boost over the 7800X3D—about only 10% at 1080p with an RTX 5090. However, upgrading from a 5070 to a 5070 Ti could provide a performance increase of around 25-30%. Plus, the B850 motherboard doesn't offer significant performance benefits over a B650, especially if you opt for a B650E with PCIe 5.0.

But isn't it true that lower settings and resolution are more CPU-bound? Also, the RTX 5070 I bought was about €500, and I saw the Ti version costs around €400 more. Do you think the Ti is really worth that additional cost? I've heard Marvel Rivals runs better on NVIDIA cards too, so I’d like to stick with NVIDIA if possible!
