I reformatted my USB drive as FAT32 and then ejected it. Now, when I connect it to my laptop, it appears as a removable disk but doesn't show any usable space. However, it did work with a card reader for my memory card. Luckily, I hadn't stored any important files on it; I mainly use this USB for clean Windows installations. Is my USB drive dead or is there a problem with the partition? The USB model is Transcend CS3GB Red.

Well, it sure is removable! If the storage isn’t showing, it could be a format issue. You might want to check disk management on your computer and see if you can create a new partition.
Just a heads up, reformatting clears everything. If you can't reformat or delete the partition, that’s a sign something might be wrong with the drive. Have you tried different USB ports or cables?
FAT32 can be tricky if you don't need it for older systems. Consider switching to exFAT. Also, jumping into disk manager might help you see what's actually going on; you could delete and recreate the partition there.
Yep, a removable disk means you’re dealing with a USB drive. It might just not be recognized properly by your system. Sometimes reconnecting it helps.
Honestly, that USB drive might just be toast. Some cheaper drives are basically just SD cards with a USB interface. If they fail, you might get an empty removable drive. Definitely check disk management for more details.
Something similar happened to me once. I messed around in disk manager and managed to fix it, but I can’t recall exactly how. It’s worth a shot!

But there's no storage bar showing up, which is weird.
