I just realized I logged into a financial website while connected to public WiFi through my iPhone using Face ID. Now I'm worried that my account might be compromised. Is this a risky move, or is there a chance I'm safe?

Unless you accepted a security certificate while on that WiFi, your connection to the bank is secure. It's really only a concern if you're being targeted by someone with advanced capabilities, which is rare for most users.
You're fine! The communication between your device and your bank is typically secure, so no worries there.
Yeah, it’s pretty hard to compromise a connection unless someone is actively trying to do it. But you’re probably just fine unless you see weird activity on your account.
