I just wiped my C: drive clean and noticed that OneDrive is using up nearly all my space with only 426 MB. I'm wondering, if I delete OneDrive, will it be similar to deleting something critical like System32? Also, will I still be able to run games that I install if I remove it? Are there other ways to free up similar amounts of space if deleting OneDrive isn't an option? Thanks!

Absolutely, you can uninstall OneDrive without damaging your computer. It's not essential for regular use, and you won't lose any ability to download or run your games. The amount of space OneDrive is taking up is quite small compared to modern hard drives, so it’s probably not the main issue.
Exactly! Just make sure you don't delete the OneDrive folder afterward or you could lose important saved files.
If you want to ditch OneDrive, go ahead. I did it on my Windows 11 after debloating, and everything worked just fine. If you can't uninstall it, disabling it from startup is another option that might help your space issue.
Yeah, I recommend that too. Easy fix without any risk!
Great, glad to hear that! I'll try disabling it first.
Just make sure you don't accidentally delete the OneDrive folder after uninstalling the app. It can lead to losing access to files that might still be on your PC, like your documents and photos. Always back up anything important first!
I appreciate the heads up! I'll back things up before uninstalling.
For sure, backups are essential!
To clarify, you really should check why your available storage seems so low. Typically, new drives have a lot more space. It might be a partition issue. Running a tool like WinDirStat can help identify what else is taking up space.
I wiped the drive clean and it still shows low space. I'll try downloading that tool.
Good plan! It'll show you a visual of what's hogging your storage.
Thanks for the clarification! It's good to know I won't mess anything up.
