Is it safe to use daisy-chained PCIe cables for my RTX 5070 Ti?

Hey everyone! I'm building a PC after a while and I ran into a bit of a snag. My GPU, the RTX 5070 Ti, needs three 8-pin connectors through its 3x 8-pin to 12VHPWR adapter. However, my Corsair CX750F RGB power supply only has two PCIe 8-pin cables, each with two connectors. I'm considering using splitters or daisy-chains to connect these to the adapter. Can I use both 8-pin connectors from one cable and just one from the other to make it work, or do I need to get an extra 8-pin cable? Any advice would be super helpful!

Honestly, if you're considering a daisy chain, that’s already a red flag. You might want to rethink your setup before proceeding.

I’d recommend buying a 12VHPWR cable that matches your PSU’s brand for the safest connection. It's worth investing in the right gear to avoid any potential issues.

Have you thought about returning your power supply? If possible, swap it for an ATX 3.1 model to avoid using that 3x 8-pin adapter altogether. I've heard of too many failures, including melting connectors when using adapters. Better safe than sorry!

I'm looking at getting Corsair's 600W PCIe 5.0 12V-2x6 Type-4 power cable instead. Do you think that's a good move?

Using a daisy chain isn't the safest option. It's best to get another PCIe cable that's designed for your PSU model. Reliability is key when it comes to power delivery, especially for high-performance GPUs.

If you're using two cables, having a pigtail for the third should be fine. Corsair cables are made to handle that.
