I'm thinking about purchasing a 5070 Ti which is currently priced at 858 euros from Gigabyte. I'm curious whether the prices are likely to go up or drop in the near future. If they drop, how long do you think I should wait?

Honestly, if you keep waiting for the 6070 Ti or the rumored Super models, you might be waiting forever. They’re not going to bring out any compelling new products right away. Plus, the 5070 Ti offers solid value unless you want to spend extra for slight performance differences.
Yeah, the drone of waiting might just cost you more in the long run!
If you can afford it and need it, I'd say buy it now. Prices typically go down over time, but predicting the market isn’t easy.
Also keep an eye on alternatives like the 9070XT. If it fits your gaming preferences, it might save you some cash.
It really depends on what GPU you currently have. I went from a 9070XT to a 5070 Ti, but if you're coming from something like a Radeon 6900XT, it might still feel overpriced for the performance boost you'll get. How about you? What are you upgrading from?
I'm on a 1070. It's not like I can't play anything with it, but I'd like to upgrade for the best price possible.
I have a 7800XT and it's been solid for 1440p gaming, but I definitely feel the itch to upgrade!
I’d say hold off. Prices might drop further, or you could snag a 5070 Ti Super for the same price soon.
Why do you think prices would drop? Plus, isn’t the Super just a rumor?
The Super isn’t releasing until next year. If the price is decent now, just buy it! There's not going to be a huge drop anytime soon.
If the 5070 Ti is what you really want, just go for it. Seems like holding out won't lead to much.
