Is My 500W Power Supply Enough for a Ryzen 5 5700X3D Upgrade?

Hey everyone! Currently, I have a Cooler Master Bronze 500W power supply paired with a Ryzen 5 5600 and an RTX 5060 Ti with 16GB of RAM. I'm considering upgrading to a Ryzen 5 5700X3D, but I'm unsure if my current power supply will support it. Additionally, I'm thinking about possibly moving to an AM5 platform down the line but would prefer to keep my power supply if it can handle just the 5700X3D. What do you all think?

If you're in the US, a 650W PSU isn't too expensive. Investing in a decent one would be worth it if you're planning upgrades.

If I change it, I would probably go for at least a 750W for future upgrades, but it could be a bit costly.

A good way to check would be to input your parts into PC Part Picker. It’ll give you a conservative estimate of what wattage you'll need.

I did that, and it said I’d need 416W with the new setup, which is a bit higher than the 339W I'm using now. Do you think that's too close?

Upgrading to at least a 650W or 750W power supply is definitely a good idea for peace of mind, especially with future upgrades in mind.

So I should save up a little more and wait for the new PSU?
