Is My PC Part List Good for Light Gaming and Future-Proofing?

I'm looking to upgrade my old PC setup for light gaming, mainly playing Fortnite now and planning to dive into Elden Ring later. I also occasionally use a VR headset for Beat Saber. My budget is under $1000, and I'm trying to future-proof this build as much as I can. I'm keeping my Antec P100 case and a good 800W power supply that has plenty of connectors, plus my fans are in good shape. I want to know if there's anything I might be missing, whether the parts I'm keeping (case, power supply, SSD) will work well with the new components, and if I'm on the right track with future-proofing things. Here's my current setup: Intel i5-4690 CPU @ 3.50GHz, 16GB RAM, 1TB SATA SSD, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 with 8GB VRAM. Also, I have an ultrawide 1440p monitor that runs at 60fps, which I use for work. I recently updated my part list link to make it accessible for feedback!

It would really help if you could share your parts list directly since the Newegg link isn't working for everyone. It’s easier to give feedback once we can see everything clearly. Just a thought!

Oh ok, thanks for the heads-up! I’ll post the parts list.

I checked out your setup, and I think changing your GPU would be beneficial, even if it’s around an extra $100. More VRAM will help with future games. Also, consider grabbing a new gaming monitor — playing at 60Hz just doesn't cut it with the upgrades you're looking at. Your case, PSU, and SSD should be fine with the new parts!

Thanks for the suggestion! Do you have a recommendation for a 34” monitor since I need it for work too?
