Hey everyone! I'm not the best with tech, but I recently installed the PowerShute serial shutdown tool to check on past events. Now, I'm really worried it might damage my PC or even introduce malware. Is that something I should be concerned about? Also, I'm unsure how to uninstall it since it's not a typical app. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! (I'm using a pro gaming setup with a 1500 model)

If you have concerns about malware, it’s a good idea to check your system with a trusted antivirus or a malware guide. Just remember, it's pretty common for legitimate tools to have security warnings due to their network permissions. Don't panic too much, it's probably nothing!
As long as you downloaded PowerShute from the official APC website, you should be fine. It's designed for basic communication with your UPS and doesn't pose a risk to your computer. To uninstall it, check your Add/Remove Programs section—should be just like any other software.
