Hey everyone! I'm building my first PC after a lot of research, but I'm stuck on one thing. I discovered that my CPU, the Ryzen 5 7600X, and my GPU, the RX 6750 XT, should be a good match for 1440p gaming. However, I'm having trouble finding good 1440p monitors in Italy, and the ones I've found cost around €400, which is beyond my budget. So, I'm wondering if buying a 1080p monitor would still give me decent FPS for games like Valorant, Cyberpunk, Fortnite, and Minecraft. What do you all think?

Hold on, there are plenty of 1440p monitors available in Italy—maybe just broaden your search a bit! They’re really popular for gaming. Also, the combination of your CPU and GPU is great for the games you're looking at. If you share your budget, I can help you find a good deal! 300€ sounds reasonable for a 6750 XT.
You're in a solid position with that CPU and GPU! They'll work just fine together without any big bottlenecks. You can easily go for a 1440p monitor at 60-120Hz for a great experience, or even a 1080p monitor at higher refresh rates. Just make sure your monitor supports FreeSync for the best performance.
Remember, every system has some sort of bottleneck, but your setup is pretty solid. Going with a 1080p monitor will yield better performance overall, but it does come at the cost of visuals. If you’re okay with that trade-off, the 1080p option should work just fine!
I have a similar setup with a Ryzen 7600X and an RX 6700 XT, and I’ve had no issues at all. You should be more than good with your 6750 XT!
1440p will definitely look nicer, but it can hit your FPS since the GPU gets a workout at higher resolutions. If a 1440p monitor is too pricey, a 1080p option is still a strong choice, especially for those lighter games. The 6750 XT is decent for 1440p too, but you might want to check benchmarks first to see how it performs in the specific games you're interested in.
That's reassuring! I was worried about potential performance drops.
