Hey everyone! I'm curious if anyone has experience developing for the web or full-stack projects using a Mac Mini. I currently have a high-end MacBook Pro for a sizable 5 GB monorepo, and I'm considering getting a Mac Mini or a Mac Studio for my personal projects. I asked an AI about this but would love to hear real experiences and suggestions!

Any of the M-series Macs are perfect for programming! I've used a Mac Mini M2 with 16GB RAM for web development, and it handles everything really well.
In my opinion, unless you're diving deep into big projects or need a ton of VMs, the base 16GB/256GB Mac Mini is a fantastic deal right now. It’s a solid machine for web development without breaking the bank!
Totally! If you’re doing standard SaaS apps, it should be more than enough!
I work on a 16GB M1 Mac Mini and manage quite a bit—running containers, multiple dev processes, and heavy-duty apps. It can get a bit tight on RAM, but overall it performs well. You might want to consider bumping up the RAM if you can swing it!
Yeah, I've noticed that too. It’s worth it to have more RAM for smoother performance!
I have a Mac Mini with 24GB of RAM, and it runs my web dev projects like a charm! It's also great for some local AI work when I need it. Go for it!
If you're working on mega monorepos, a Mac Studio will be noticeably faster than a Mac Mini when it comes to indexing and build tools. But a well-configured Mac Mini can do the job just fine if you're on a budget!

Absolutely agree, as long as you prioritize RAM!
