I'm considering upgrading my graphics card, as my current NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 has served me well for nearly a decade. Unfortunately, it's starting to show signs of wear — my screens occasionally go black, and it's running hotter than usual. I've found an option for an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 on Amazon, but I don't remember much about graphics cards from back when I built my PC. I'm looking for advice to see if the 3060 would be a decent upgrade or just a lateral move. Here are the specs for both cards:
RTX 3060: 12 GB, 1807 GHz GPU Clock Speed, supports a max resolution of 7680x4320.
RTX 2070: 8 GB, 14000 MHz Memory Clock Speed, supports a max resolution of 3840x2160.
Is the 3060 worth it, or should I be looking at different options?

The RTX 3060 is a bit outdated now, and in terms of performance, it’s pretty similar to the 2070 you currently have, except for the increased VRAM. For most gaming, that extra 4 GB probably won't make a significant difference. You might be overpaying for such an old model too. If your budget allows, I'd recommend looking into options like the 9060XT 16GB or the 5060ti 16GB, which would perform significantly better. What’s the rest of your setup like? What’s your budget?

My CPU is an AMD Ryzen 7 5700G with 8 cores and 16 threads, plus I have 32 GB of RAM. How close to $300 can I go?
