Is There a Legal Way to Disrupt a Coworker’s Bluetooth Speaker?

I'm in a frustrating situation at work with a coworker who insists on playing terrible music from a Bluetooth speaker, and my foremen find it amusing to put us together. I've asked him nicely and even tried telling him to stop, but nothing works. I can't use earbuds or ear plugs due to safety issues and have to be close to him while working. He uses a small Bluetooth speaker, and I was wondering if there's a device I can buy to prevent his phone from connecting to it. Ideally, it should be small, battery-operated, and effective within about ten feet. Is there something like this available, and is it legal to use in the US? I just want to avoid listening to things like techno versions of kids' songs!

You could try getting a more powerful Bluetooth speaker and playing music that annoys him back! If you’ve got to work near him, make it a battle of the playlists. It could be a fun way to deal with it without breaking any rules.

Short answer: there’s really nothing you can buy or use legally to disrupt Bluetooth signals. Most areas have strict rules against devices that can jam signals like that. Step back and consider going through HR instead if it's that bothersome. They're supposed to handle workplace harassment issues.
