I haven't used my computer since December, and when I finally booted it up, I opened the BRAVE BROWSER. Since my sessions were closed, I went to the Google homepage and clicked on 'Sign In.' I selected my account, and it redirected me to a page that looked off to me. The URL was something like HTTPS accountsgoogle v3 sign in identifier continue, and the page displayed a message prompting me to enter my email or phone number followed by a captcha. Just to clarify, I used an email address I don't actively use, so it has no value to me, and I completed the captcha. After that, it returned to a 'welcome' page asking for my password. I'm really unsure whether this is a genuine Google page or a phishing scam, and I'm urgently looking for advice on this.

So, you entered an email you don't care about and didn't provide a password, right? Honestly, I think you might be overthinking this. Just make sure to check the URL in the browser. If it doesn’t end with google.com, it's probably not legit.
I totally get your concern! I attached a screenshot of that page for reference.
Here's the thing: phishing sites are designed to look like real login pages, so it’s tough to tell just from the look of it. Make sure the URL at the top matches google.com, that’s your best bet for spotting a scam.
It seems fine to me! As long as you're cautious with what info you enter, you should be alright.
