I'm currently using a 6700xt graphics card along with a Ryzen 5600 (non-X). I'm considering an upgrade to a 7900xt and I'm wondering if pairing it with a 5800x3d CPU would be a good match. I'd prefer not to switch to AM5 since the costs of all new components can add up quickly. While I'm happy with my system's performance now, I'm curious about potential upgrades. Would it be smart to go for the 7900xt with this CPU, or would it be better to just upgrade to a 7800xt instead?

The Ryzen 5800x3D should be able to handle even a top-end GPU like the RTX 5090, so it's definitely a solid choice for future-proofing your setup. You shouldn't have to worry too much about bottlenecking with your graphics card upgrades if you go for this CPU.
That's awesome to hear! So if I upgrade to the 5800x3d, I should be good for future GPU upgrades?
