I recently replaced my power supply with a Corsair 850X because my computer was shutting down randomly. Everything seems to be running fine now, but I'm having a major issue with my 4TB WD Black drive. It doesn't show up in File Explorer, although it does appear in Disk Management. I tried deleting the volume, but I can't read or write to the drive. I even bought a new HDD thinking the first one was faulty, but the same problem occurred. I've switched out the SATA data cables and tried different ports, and all my other drives – including three M.2 SSDs and two 1TB HDDs – are working fine. The only theory I have left is that the SATA power cable might not be supplying enough power to the larger HDD, as they are daisy-chained. I've ordered a new cable since I don't have one available to dedicate solely to this drive. However, I keep getting an 'I/O error' when trying to initialize the new HDD. I noticed there's a second SATA controller on my motherboard, but I'm concerned it won't work because I also have a third M.2 SSD. Has anyone dealt with this before? I'm worried that it might be an issue with my motherboard or the new PSU.

It sounds like you've done a lot of troubleshooting already! Make sure all PSU cables are new and connected properly. Reusing old cables can lead to problems. If you still face issues, it might be worth checking the HDD connections directly or looking into possible motherboard issues.
Did you replace all the cables that came with the new PSU? Sometimes people miss a few, and it can lead to issues like this. It’s also a good rule of thumb to use the new cables to prevent any potential damage to your components.
