What does it mean when I accidentally click on an ad that’s removed?

I clicked on an ad by mistake and it displayed a message saying "ad removed" along with an option for "details." I'm concerned it might be malicious. Is there any risk if I didn't download anything? For reference, I'm using an Android 14 device that receives updates regularly.

Usually, when you accidentally close an ad, ad networks show a message like "ad removed" and offer details about the ad. Sometimes they might even include a survey asking why you closed it. It’s a normal response, so I wouldn't worry too much about it being malicious.

It just means you closed the ad. I don't see any reason to think it's malicious. What makes you think that?

I clicked on it instead of closing it like usual, and I didn't know if that meant anything different. I just want to be sure I'm safe.
