Issues with Paying AWS Bills in Australia

For the past 10 years, I've been using my Australian card to pay my AWS bill without any hiccups. However, for the last three months, I've been facing issues where my card is flagged as ineligible. I've tried adding new cards but even the CVV field gets disabled in the process. I've tested multiple Westpac cards, a Citibank card, and even an international Wise card, but all have been declined. I spoke with Westpac, and they couldn't find any reason for the denials. AWS support insists it's a bank issue, despite my various card attempts being marked as ineligible. Has anyone else encountered this problem and found a solution?

I've had this problem too! It seems like AWS support only pushes you to the bank, who then says no issue on their end. I had a hard time, but eventually found another section on the AWS billing page that allowed me to update my card info properly. Try some digging around those settings; it's a hassle but might work!

I get that! I also faced issues updating my card. Your best bet is to keep looking around the billing section until you find a way to re-input your payment details. It can be hidden, but it worked for me!

I ran into a similar issue a while back. AWS support can be hit or miss, so I recommend checking the specific article about credit card declines on their site. Sometimes there are issues buried in account settings that can be fixed by updating your billing details from a specific screen. It’s frustrating, but worth a try!
