Laptop Crashing After 5 Minutes of Use – Need Help!

I have a Dell laptop running Windows 11 that's having some serious issues. It turns on and shows a blue screen. I've already tried a few things like BitLocker, all the self-troubleshooting steps, and even a factory reset from this screen. I can manage to bypass the blue screen and use the laptop for about 5 minutes, but then it completely freezes up. I can't get any sound, mouse, touch, or keyboard inputs to work—Control+Alt+Delete doesn't even respond! The only way to turn it off is by holding the power button. What other options do I have to fix this?

What's the actual error message on the blue screen? That could give us a better idea of what’s going on. If it’s just a BitLocker screen, you might be able to troubleshoot from there.

It doesn't show an error code. It starts with the BitLocker screen, and if I skip that, I can choose to continue, troubleshoot, or turn off my pc.

First off, it’s crucial to back up your data before making changes to your system or BIOS—just to be safe. You might want to check your data backups if you haven't already. Have you looked into getting dump files? They can help identify the issue with those blue screens. Boot into Windows normally or try Safe Mode if possible, and see if there are any dump files in C:WindowsMinidump. If so, zip them up and upload them to a file-sharing site like catbox.moe or mediafire.com.

If the factory reset option isn't working, you might want to try a clean install of Windows 11. This can sometimes clear up any lingering issues from Windows 10. Just make sure you have all your necessary files prepped to back up before doing this, though!

I went ahead and reinstalled Windows, and it actually passed the 5-minute mark this time! Thanks so much for the help, everyone!
