Hey everyone! I've been curious about Linux for a while and I'm ready to switch to a solid distro that works well for gaming and general productivity. Unfortunately, my internet isn't great right now, so I can't afford to hop between different distros. I've previously used Ubuntu for school and I'm comfortable with the terminal, but I want something user-friendly, so I'm leaning away from Arch. I was considering CachyOS or Fedora—what do you all think? By the way, I'm using a Lenovo Slim 7 Pro with a Ryzen 7 and RTX 3050.
Also, does anyone know how to install the Divide and Conquer mod for Medieval 2 Total War on Linux? It's an .exe installer, and it's the only game keeping me tied to Windows!

Hey there! Since you have an Nvidia card and are comfortable with the terminal, I’d suggest trying out CachyOS. As for installing Medieval 2, I couldn’t find specific info on the Divide and Conquer mod, but the definitive edition has Platinum compatibility on ProtonDB, which suggests it should work. Just a heads up, you don’t have to fully ditch Windows—you can dual boot and keep it as a backup!

Thanks for the suggestion! Just to clarify, Divide and Conquer is a mod, and I wasn’t sure if that kind of .exe installer would be a problem.
