Looking for a second phone plan for on-call work—any recommendations?

I'm considering getting a second phone dedicated to work since we've been informed that certain company apps will require Mobile Device Management (MDM). This means the company could wipe the device if they deem it lost or stolen, which makes me hesitant to use my personal phone. I have a spare phone already, and I'm trying to figure out the best plan or provider that balances cost and functionality. A plan with tethering seems smart, but I know everyone's work needs might differ. Has anyone set up a similar situation? What plan worked well for you?

If your company isn't providing a phone, I had great experiences with AT&T. I know some people aren't fans, but their coverage has worked wonders for me in remote areas. You might also want to consider a dual SIM hotspot; it can manage connections and help you choose the best carrier on the go.

For my work phone, I use Visible. It’s pretty straightforward and affordable.

Honestly, if the company isn't paying for both the phone and plan, I wouldn't go on call. It's a bit black and white for me.

You could check out US Mobile. They let you switch between major networks or even use two networks at once. I pay just $15 a month for Verizon with 5GB of data, which works perfectly for my second phone.

I use two phones: my personal one and a work phone. The work phone is provided by the company, but I'm not exactly sure about the plan. Back in the day, we had one shared on-call phone that we passed around—it worked really well for us.
