Looking for Career Guidance in DevOps

Hey everyone, I'm reaching out because I'm really in need of some advice and support. I'm currently in my internship semester, and unfortunately, I haven't secured an internship or a full-time position yet. It's been incredibly stressful for me. I'm focused on building my career in the DevOps field and have been actively applying to various roles—but so far, I've had no success. It's disheartening to see others getting opportunities, especially when I feel like I've put in the effort to learn and practice.

I have a deadline of February 20 to land an internship; otherwise, I'll have to stay in college for an additional semester, which means I could graduate without any practical experience in the industry. This situation really worries me, and the uncertainty of my job prospects post-graduation is weighing heavily on my mind. I don't want my hard work to go unnoticed or unappreciated. Any guidance, leads, or even just some encouraging words would really help me right now.

Where are you located? Sometimes, the job market can vary a lot depending on where you are. Knowing this can help others suggest opportunities that might be available in your area.

It sounds like you're aiming for a DevOps role, but keep in mind that many people break into this field through software engineering first. It might be helpful to target software engineering internships for now and familiarize yourself with DevOps tools and processes on the side. This way, you'll be better prepared for a DevOps position later on.

It can be tough seeing others get offers when you've been working hard too, but remember that everyone’s journey is different. The ones who get hired might just be applying differently or have connections you aren't aware of. Focus on what you can control over the next month, like refining your resume or practicing for interviews.
