Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my CPU because my current setup feels a bit sluggish during gaming. Right now, I have an RTX 3060 Ti, an i5-10400f, 16GB of 2666 MHz RAM, and a 550w PSU with a Prime B460M-K motherboard. I've noticed I'm only getting under 180 fps in Valorant on low graphics settings, which doesn't seem right. My budget for the CPU is between $250 and $350, or 1600-2200 DKK, but I'm open to suggestions a bit above that if it makes sense. I mainly want to play games smoothly, especially hoping to run Arc Raiders well. I don't mind paying extra for a new motherboard or PSU if needed, so my focus is strictly on which CPU to get. Thanks for your help!

Considering your budget, you might want to look into the Intel 10600K or 10700K. Those will pair nicely with your current components and provide a decent performance boost. Since you mentioned you're fine with a new motherboard, the 11700K could be a great choice as well, particularly if you can find one for a good price. Also, keep an eye on the second-hand market!
If you're open to changing your motherboard, you could grab a Ryzen 5700X or 5800X, which will also give you that extra edge in gaming, especially at 1080p. Just note that you'd need a compatible motherboard and potentially new RAM if you're switching to an AM4 setup. But if you can manage that, it's worth it for the performance!
True, but I think the i5-13600K is still going to be a better fit for gaming and you won't need to worry about the memory compatibility issues.

That's a solid suggestion! But have you looked into the 13600K? It's around $270 in your area and can really crank up your gaming performance.
