I'm finally saving up for my dream PC and would love your input to ensure I've made the best choices. This system will mainly be used for content creation, like editing photos and videos with DaVinci Resolve and Lightroom, as well as general office tasks on WordPress. I'm aiming to play some modern games too. My setup is mATX, and since aesthetics aren't a priority, I've focused on performance at a lower cost. Here's what I have so far:
- PSU: GIGABYTE P850GM, 80+ Gold, 850W
- Case: Deepcool MATREXX 40 3FS
- RAM: Viper Venom 32GB DDR5 6400MHz CL32 Dual Channel Kit
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 4.2GHz BOX
- MOBO: ASUS TUF GAMING B850M-PLUS
- SSD: Crucial T500 1TB PCIe Express 4.0 x4 M.2 2280
- GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 5070 VENTUS 2X OC 12GB GDDR7 192-bit DLSS 4.0
- Cooler: ARCTIC AC Liquid Freezer III Pro 240 Black (AIO) or Thermalright Assassin X 120 V2 PLUS (Air Cooler)
Thanks for any suggestions you have to maximize the value of my build!

Great build overall! If possible, I'd lean towards the 9800X3D to make the most of your budget—maybe reduce the RAM to 6000 MT. The 7800X3D is still fantastic if you find a good deal. As for coolers, I've been happy with the Liquid Freezer III Pro 240; the extra surface area really helps manage temp spikes during intense use.
I'd suggest going for cheaper RAM. A lot of users find 6000MHz to be the sweet spot for performance, and you won't notice much difference with 5600 or 5200 on an X3D CPU. If you're buying soon, prioritize what's affordable, and adjust as prices settle. For the cooler, a budget AIO could work if aesthetics matter, or you might find a good dual tower air cooler for around $40.
This looks like a solid build for your needs! I put together a similar mATX setup recently. You might want to consider swap in a 9070 XT instead of the RTX 5070; it offers better performance for the price. Also, while the Ryzen 7 7800X3D is a great choice, going for a Ryzen 5 might allow you to snag a 9000 series GPU instead—just a thought!
Thanks for the feedback! I’ll look more into the 9000 series GPU. Coming from a laptop, I was surprised at how cool these chips run. Appreciate your insights!
Just a heads up about your motherboard choices. I've heard some Asus and Asrock boards have issues with X3D chips. You might want to look at alternatives. Personally, I've had good experiences with MSI boards.

Thanks for the tip! I plan to buy in about 7-8 months. I was considering 5600 or 6000; I'll take your advice and go with what’s good for the price at that time!
