Hey everyone! I'm new to web development and currently working on a hobby site using Next.js, hosted on Vercel. Since it's just for fun, I'm searching for any good options to host my images and database for free. I don't plan to commercialize this site, but I'd like to keep it online. Any suggestions?

You can’t go wrong with Supabase for your database and Cloudinary for image hosting.

I’m using Tursos’ free tier for my database; it's SQLite/libsql-based and works well for a map project I have in Next.js.

Have you checked out Vercel's built-in Postgres database? They offer a free tier, and it's quite handy!

For your hobby Next.js site, you have quite a few great free options. For databases, consider using Supabase or PlanetScale; both offer free tiers with Postgres-compatible databases. If you prefer NoSQL, MongoDB Atlas is also a solid choice.

For image hosting, Cloudinary provides free storage and CDN delivery, while ImgBB and Imgur are great for simpler setups. If your project is small, you can even use GitHub for hosting static assets. All of these options work well with Vercel, so you can experiment without any costs!

For a small project, Firebase is a simple option for your database, and you can store images on Imgur or Photobucket.
