A couple of years ago, I purchased a prebuilt PC and have upgraded it since then. I've been holding onto the old one and recently decided to set it up as a Minecraft server or some kind of home server. However, something went wrong, and I think the motherboard has died. I need a new motherboard that supports Windows 11, but I'm also concerned about a specific port that I'll show in some photos. My CPU is an i7-8700, but the front USB cable looks different than the ones I usually see. Is there an adapter available, or does my new motherboard need to have both female and male ports?

It sounds like you're dealing with USB 3 headers, which are those ports in the middle. It looks like one of them might have had its housing ripped off. There's usually a label on the motherboard indicating what the ports are. When you say the front USB cable is different, could you clarify what you mean? There are various types like USB 2.0, 3.0, and Type-C headers. Did you switch your case recently?
