I recently gave my second monitor to my wife for her new PC, so I'm on the hunt for a replacement. I'm aiming for a display that maximizes my gaming experience at 1440p, particularly since I have a 9070 XT. I mainly play single-player titles like Cyberpunk 2077 and Expedition 33, steering clear of games from EA, Activision, or Ubisoft. I've considered 4K monitors, but the price tag is pretty hefty—over a grand! What would be a good option for me?

If you're looking for value, you can't go wrong with decent IPS 1440p monitors that offer 144Hz or more, generally priced between $200-$300. OLEDs are great but tend to be pricey. Check out reviews on Rtings, but keep in mind their summaries can be a bit misleading. For your rig, something in that price range should work well!

How significant is the difference between OLED and IPS? I currently have an M27Q which is solid for high-quality 1440p, so maybe getting a budget monitor for Discord and YouTube would be fine.
