Looking for Recommendations for User-Friendly Arch-Based Distros

I've been using Ubuntu and Debian-based distributions for quite some time because of their strong support and wide selection of third-party software. However, I'm eager to explore something new—with a more up-to-date kernel and desktop environment. I've thought about giving Arch Linux a shot, but setting up vanilla Arch seems too daunting for me. I'm hoping to find an Arch-based distro that's ready to go or at least simplifies the installation process, so I can quickly get my PC up and running. Any suggestions or tips?

There's also a bunch of other options out there like Archcraft and Garuda. I’ve heard good things about them! Just remember, even though these distros simplify the install process, some tweaks may still be needed after setup.

Manjaro is worth considering! It's stable and has been my go-to for years. Plus, you can use Timeshift for easy backups, which is pretty handy.

I don't get why some people dislike Manjaro. I've gamed on it for a long time with zero issues!

If you want something that feels familiar, give EndeavourOS a try. It's basically Arch with an installer, so it doesn't get much easier than that for a newbie.

Exactly! And if you run into any hiccups, don't hesitate to ask for help.

I've recently been playing around with CachyOS, and I’m pretty impressed! It includes cool features like snapshots and an easy setup process. While it may not be the fastest, it definitely offers an accessible Arch option.

Honestly, if you're keen on trying out Arch, don't shy away from setting up vanilla Arch manually. So many resources can guide you through, and it can actually be quite rewarding! But for convenience, definitely check out those distros mentioned.

That’s a fair point! Just have to be ready for a bit of a learning curve afterwards.

Check out CachyOS and EndeavourOS! They're both great options that are pretty user-friendly and provide a nice out-of-the-box experience without the heavy lifting of vanilla Arch setup.

Totally agree! CachyOS has been a fantastic choice for me.

EndeavourOS is really nice too; I’ve had a great experience with it!
