I'm starting a small irrigation and sprinkler company and I'm trying to get my website up and running. Unfortunately, my current hosting provider has been a hassle. I paid $175 but they still won't give me SSH access unless I fork out $500 for an upgrade. Before this gets any more frustrating, I'm hoping someone can suggest a free website builder that allows me to create a simple site quickly. I'm okay with tweaking a bit of code, but I don't want to start completely from scratch. Ideally, I need to include sections like Home, Services, Contact, Reviews, and Jobs. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Definitely look for website builders that allow you to export your site data. That way, if you decide to upgrade later, you won’t have to rebuild everything from scratch.
I used a traditional hosting service for my previous business, and it was a huge mistake since I'm not a full-time developer. I wasted so much time managing SSH and dealing with bugs. If I were starting over, I would suggest trying Durable. It’s designed for small businesses and is super user-friendly. You really just need a straightforward layout and a contact form, especially for an irrigation service. Focus on getting some clients first, and then worry about adding reviews or extra features later.
If you’re looking for something completely free, consider other options or check out platforms like Squarespace, Wix, Framer, Webflow, or Web.com for more features.
Make sure to use real photos of your work if you can. A gallery with just 5-6 genuine images can build way more trust with potential customers than some generic stock images.
Before deciding on a platform, it’s a good idea to gather your content first. Write out your Home, Services, and Contact info in a Google Doc to help streamline the building process. This way, you know what you want to put where, making it way easier.
Check out Kiro! It’s just amazing for creating sites quickly and easily.
If you’re tackling this solo, using the Bricks builder on WordPress is a solid option.
