I'm trying to find a dependable solution for Software End of Life (SEOL) reporting. We've experimented with Nessus and Lansweeper, but their accuracy has been an issue. Does anyone have recommendations for tools that specifically focus on SEOL reporting?

I don’t have a dedicated tool for EOL reporting, but I frequently check EOL dates on the site endoflife.date. It really simplifies the process instead of navigating through individual vendor sites. It’s a handy resource!
A lot of organizations think they have solid reporting for EOL software, but the reality is often different. For us, using Defender for Endpoint covers around 90% of what we need, even though it’s not flawless. Another option might be Patch My PC, since their focus is on identifying existing packages.
EOL tracking can be really tricky. Vendors often change their lifecycle information without any notice, and no single tool seems to cover everything perfectly. The tool mentioned earlier, endoflife.date, is great for quick checks, but for ongoing monitoring of your inventory against EOL dates, I’d recommend automating that process with your existing CMDB. It tends to be more reliable than standalone SEOL products.
In my experience, it's often necessary to check directly with each vendor to find their lifecycle plans. That’s where the most up-to-date info tends to be.

Have you considered using AI to scrape that data regularly? You could cross-reference it with your software inventory and set up alerts for any EOL matches. It sounds doable with asset management tools like Starhive.
