Hey everyone! I'm putting together a PC for someone else, and I want it to be on par with my current setup from five years ago. My budget is around $1,000, but I can stretch it a bit if needed. Just to recap my current setup:

- **CPU**: Ryzen 9 3900x
- **Cooler**: An Air Cooler
- **GPU**: 2060 Super
- **Case**: Meshify Fractal
- **Motherboard**: Gigabyte X570 Aorus Elite Wifi
- **PSU**: (A good one)
- **RAM**: 32GB
- **Storage**: 2TB Samsung Evo
- **OS**: Windows 10

I'm flexible on CPU brand but prefer Nvidia for the GPU since I'm more experienced with it. Any advice on what parts to get would be awesome!

You might want to check out the Ryzen 7 5700x3D, then allocate the rest of your budget towards a solid GPU. If you want a more powerful setup, consider going for an AM5 platform and pairing it with a weaker GPU.

Also, Intel's 12600K is a fantastic choice; it's a powerhouse for everything you need and costs about $300. You could spend the rest on a GPU and give Intel a shot, especially if you love overclocking.

Totally agree! Staying on the same motherboard platform is a smart move. Put your cash into a good CPU and a great GPU and you're set.
