Looking to Upgrade My Pre-Built Gaming PC

Hey all! I recently got a non-working pre-built PC from my older brother, which had been gathering dust in a closet for about three years. I've managed to get it up and running, but when I check compatibility for various games on a site, it indicates that most of them can't run due to my graphics card. I'm pretty new to all this and feel overwhelmed by the endless upgrade options available. Here's what I've got:

- **CPU**: Intel Xeon E5 2680 @ 2.70GHz
- **RAM**: 32.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 533MHz
- **Motherboard**: INTEL X79
- **Graphics**: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960
- **Storage**: 465GB HDD and 238GB SSD

Any advice on what I should look to upgrade, especially my GPU, would really help me out!

It sounds like you've got a solid foundation for budget gaming! Since you've rebuilt an older server into a gaming desktop, the main thing you'll want to focus on is upgrading that GPU. I’d recommend aiming for something like a GTX 1070 or an RTX 2060. You can often find GTX 1070s for under $100 on eBay, which should be a great upgrade without breaking the bank! Just keep in mind that throwing in something like a 3080 would be overkill for your system—stick with mid-range options for the best performance without overloading the rest of your setup.

I’m not super concerned about the budget too, just want to ensure compatibility and longevity. Do you think there's a GPU that can last a while?
