I was swimming in the pool and noticed my Apple Watch Ultra 2 was about to die, so I didn't think much of it and continued swimming for another hour. After I got home, I placed it on the charger, but it's now been four days, and it still won't turn on. I don't have Apple Care, and my warranty has expired. I took it to Best Buy, but they couldn't power it on or reset it either. The screen remains black with no haptic feedback. Am I out of luck? I'm really upset because I paid $499 for this watch, and now it feels like just a useless piece of equipment.

It definitely sounds like you may have dealt with some water damage. Even though the watch is rated for water resistance, it doesn’t mean it’s completely waterproof, especially if it’s been used for a while. That could be the issue here.
Keep in mind that while the Apple Watch has a water resistance rating, it’s not the same as being waterproof. And over time, the seals can wear out, so damage could happen if it gets submerged or exposed to water. You might want to research what options you have for repair, but it doesn’t sound promising.
