I've been experiencing some strange issues with my laptop over the past couple of days, and it's getting worse. It takes about 8-10 seconds to load the login screen after the startup sound, and once I'm in, everything feels laggy. Just last week, it was running perfectly! The lag seems random, and I've also noticed that my read/write speeds are below 1MB/s when I'm not actively using the laptop. I'm not sure what could be causing this, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

It sounds like your hard drive might be failing. How old is your laptop?
It's probably around 4-5 years old. I got it from my uncle, who just upgraded.
