Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a panic! I really need some help because I have an important paper due tomorrow. I'm using a MateBook D14, and everything was working fine until suddenly the laptop screen went black. The weird part is, I can still use my laptop through an HDMI connection to an external monitor. I've tried restarting it while connected to the external monitor, but no luck. The laptop itself still responds to typing and everything else seems fine. I'm not very tech-savvy, so I'm not sure what's causing this or how to fix it. I'd be super grateful for any advice! Thanks!

First off, try unplugging the HDMI cable. If your laptop screen comes back to life, that's a good sign! If it's still black after that, you could try pressing the Windows key + P and choosing either "duplicate" or "extend" to see if it helps. Sometimes the display gets stuck on external mode, and that might reset it. Let me know how it goes!
Thanks for the tips! I did unplug the HDMI cable, but the laptop screen is still black. I also tried the key combo to switch display modes, but no luck there either.
