Hey everyone! I'm having a bit of trouble with my setup and I'm not sure if the issue lies with my monitor or my PC. Here's the breakdown:
I'm using a PC with an RTX 3060 Ti, AMD Ryzen 5 5600, 16GB RAM, and a Gigabyte A520M K V2 motherboard. The monitor is a ViewSonic VX2458-C-mhd that I've had for about 5 years. Recently, when I try to boot up my PC, the monitor keeps flickering on and off. I've tried restarting and reconnecting it multiple times, but that doesn't seem to help.
A few things I've noticed:
1. Once, I got a blue screen that said there was a problem booting up. I didn't catch the error code.
2. The PC doesn't give any boot error sounds—just one beep, which it's always done.
3. I'm using an HDMI cable, and unplugging it still has the monitor turning on and off.
4. Even with the monitor not functioning, my friends can see that I'm active on Discord.
5. When the monitor does turn on, it's not showing anything but seems to shut off randomly later.
6. Initially, when this started, the monitor would glitch, and I couldn't move the mouse until I adjusted the adaptor slightly.
7. There's no buzzing sound or any visible cable issues.
I'm really worried it could be my PC instead of the monitor since I ordered a new monitor expecting the old one to be the problem, but the issue persists! Thanks for your help!

I'm not sure what the exact problem is, but it looks like you might want to check your 'i's; they seem to be missing their dots when you’re typing! 😄
To diagnose the BSOD issues accurately, you'll want to gather dump files. If you can access Windows or Safe Mode, check the path C:WindowsMinidump for any dump files. Zip that folder and upload it to a file-sharing site like catbox.moe or mediafire.com. We often need multiple dump files for a clear analysis.
Have you tried using the HDMI port on your motherboard? If that works, it would indicate that your graphics card might be the issue.
I just tried the HDMI port on the motherboard, and unfortunately, the monitor didn't power up at all. I reconnected it to the GPU, though, and it turned on without any issues this time, which is confusing me even more.

Haha, sorry about that! My native language uses a different version of 'i,' and I sometimes forget that English doesn't have it.
