Hey everyone! I'm having some trouble with my gaming PC that I hope you can help me out with. My PC tends to crash without warning, usually when I'm browsing the web or playing Fall Guys. This has been happening about once or twice a week. When it crashes, the screen freezes completely, and I can't move my mouse or do anything—I'm forced to power it off manually. I first noticed this issue after I enabled XMP settings on my RAM alongside my Intel i7 12700 CPU. I've tried a bunch of things, like disabling XMP in the BIOS, switching out the power supply and GPU, resetting the BIOS to default, and even updating the BIOS a few months back. I suspect that the BIOS might still have a corrupted XMP setting. I'm using Vengeance 16GB 5200MHz RAM, but I've noticed that the CPU only reaches about 4800 MT/s when XMP is disabled. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I’m not completely sure what’s causing your crashes, but here’s a thought: If your Windows was updating while your RAM was unstable, it might have corrupted some system files. You could try running the commands 'sfc /scannow' and 'DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth' in an admin command prompt. These could help fix any Windows-related issues. If that doesn’t work, you might need to reinstall Windows or it could be a hardware problem at play. I experienced similar issues with my unstable DDR5 setup when I was an early adopter. Good luck!

Thanks for the tips! I’ll give those commands a shot first. I’d rather avoid reinstalling Windows if I can. I’ve also done stress tests for the CPU, GPU, and RAM, and nothing crashed, so it might still be a CPU issue.
