I'm in the process of building a productivity-focused PC for my wife, keeping the budget around $600. Here's what I have in mind so far:
- 16GB DDR5 RAM (Patriot Viper Elite 5, 6000 CL30)
- SAMSUNG 990 EVO PLUS SSD (1TB)
- Cooler Master Q300L V2 Micro-ATX Tower
- ASRock B650M Pro RS WiFi AM5 Motherboard
- Thermaltake Toughpower GF2 ARGB 650W Power Supply
- AMD Ryzen 5 8500G CPU
I'm wondering if there's anything crucial I might be missing in this build.

A little context could help here. Where are you located? In the U.S., do you have access to a Microcenter? Also, for multimedia editing, do you need a dedicated GPU, or would an APU suffice for your wife’s needs?
Why not consider a mini PC instead? There are options like the Beelink Copilot that might fit your requirements while saving space.
You might want to consider downgrading your RAM to 5600 speed. If the PC is mainly for office tasks, you won't notice a big difference in performance. This way you could even get 32GB of RAM for the same budget!
What would you recommend instead?

I’m in the U.S. but don’t live near a Microcenter. I thought an APU would be suitable since she does some multimedia editing but mainly uses it for office work.
