I've been trying to install Hyperland on my Debian 13 system for two weeks now and I'm hitting a wall. I'm currently using Gnome and have the stable version of Debian 13. I really want to switch to Hyperland, but I'm not sure how to get it installed properly. If you have any specific questions to help diagnose the problem, let me know and I'll do my best to answer them!

Have you tried running `sudo apt install hyprland`? That should typically work unless you need to enable backports on Trixie first. You can also explore the Debian packages site for more information on available versions.

I'd recommend thinking carefully about jumping into Hyperland right now. It's quite different from a typical desktop environment and doesn't provide much out of the box. It'll take some effort just to get it installed, and even more to get it configured for daily use. If this is your first time tinkering, you might find KDE Plasma a better fit; it offers lots of customization options but is generally easier to get started with. But if you're really set on using Hyperland, what specific issues are you running into? What steps have you tried?

There are some installation tips available in various wikis. Also, make sure you're using a wired connection during installation, as it can prevent issues later. Don't forget to remove the installation media once you're finished!

You might want to check out the installation instructions on the official wiki: wiki.hypr.land/Getting-Started/Installation/. If you're comfortable with it, compiling from source could be a solution. And don't forget Debian has some helpful tips too, so check out wiki.debian.org/DontBreakDebian while you're at it!
