Hey everyone! I recently helped a friend purchase some 32GB used DDR4 Corsair LPX RAM and tried to run Memtest86 on it. However, the test got stuck on test 7 during the first run. The motherboard is an MSI X470 Gaming Plus and the CPU is an R7 2700. I noticed that the PC is still running, but the test time and percentage are frozen. What steps should I take to resolve this? I've included a link to a picture of where it froze. Thanks!

If Memtest86 is stuck, I recommend leaving it for about 30 minutes. If it doesn't start up again, that's usually a bad sign. Sorry to hear your test got interrupted!
I noticed that Memtest86 sometimes creates two partitions on a USB drive when you set it up. If it prompts you to format a partition you don't want to lose, it's a good idea to cancel it if you have important files there. Just make sure you choose the correct drive next time!
Let it run for a little while longer, but if nothing happens, it might be best to turn it off. If you have XMP, EXPO, or DOCP activated, try disabling it before you retest. Also, updating your BIOS can help!
Thanks! So should I turn off XMP before updating the BIOS, and then test it again with the BIOS updated and XMP turned back on?

It froze for around 15 minutes, and I ended up shutting it down. Unfortunately, it wiped Memtest86 from my USB, so I'm planning to reinstall it and try again without enabling XMP.
