Need Help with RGB Control on Linux Mint

I've recently made the switch to Linux Mint XFCE after a lot of thinking. It seems beginner-friendly and has a classic design that I enjoy. Most things are working fine, except for the graphics drivers. I'm trying to get my RGB lighting working again since I have an all-ASUS setup. Previously, I used Armory Crate on Windows, but it's not available for Linux. I've tried using asusctl, but it only supports laptops, and I have a desktop. Now I'm using OpenRGB and think I've set up the udev rules plugin correctly, as I'm no longer getting any popups and most devices are recognized. However, I'm struggling to get my ASUS Scope Strix II 96 keyboard to show up in OpenRGB, even though it's listed as supported. Additionally, my ASUS TUF RTX 5060 Ti graphics card isn't even mentioned in the compatibility list, so I'm concerned about that too. I'm also trying to remove leftover asusctl files from my drive, but I can't seem to find a way to delete them manually. Any ideas or suggestions for better software or solutions? I'd hate to have to go back to Windows!

OpenRGB should support your keyboard, but sometimes it can be a bit finicky. Make sure you've updated to the latest version and check the compatibility list again. As for the graphics card, unfortunately, if it's not listed, there might not be an easy way to control its RGB lighting on Linux. If the asusctl files are still on your drive, try using the terminal to remove them. You can use commands like ‘sudo rm -rf /path/to/asusctl’ if you know where they are located. Just be careful with the commands to avoid deleting anything important!

I get where you're coming from! Have you tried looking into liquidctl? It's mostly used for coolers but you might find some functionality there that could help with your RGB setup. It doesn't have a GUI, though, so keep that in mind!

I looked it up too, and it seems pretty limited—it might not be the full solution you're hoping for, especially if you're after a GUI. You might want to check other software options too!
