I'm on the hunt for a user-friendly Linux distribution that features KDE right out of the box and doesn't need a bunch of configuration to get running smoothly. I'm looking for something similar to Linux Mint, but I'm specifically avoiding Kubuntu because I'm not a fan of snaps. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

If you're open to it, Kubuntu is a solid option. Some people really like it, but I get why you're cautious about snaps. Personally, I use a mix of snaps and flatpaks without any issues. Did you know you can add a Flatpak repository to the package manager? But if you really want to avoid it, maybe check out other choices.

I tried Kubuntu as my first distro and didn't have a great experience—FireFox was really finicky with hardware acceleration and when I sought help, the response was just to switch distros. I’d recommend sticking with mainline options like Arch, Debian, or Fedora. They all allow KDE installation right from the get-go.
