Hey everyone! I'm new to building PCs and need some advice. I'm putting together my first build mainly for web browsing and casual gaming, with a budget capped at around $1500 CAD or $1100 USD; ideally I'd like to spend even less. Here are my main concerns:
1. I currently have a low-profile 6GB RTX 3050 that I'm mostly happy with, though I've encountered some negative reviews. I'm wondering if it's going to bottleneck other components in my build or if upgrading is necessary.
2. To save money, would it be reasonable to stick with 16GB of RAM instead of going for 32GB? Is the performance difference noticeable for my use?
3. Are there any components in my list that I could swap out to cut costs while maintaining quality?
4. Any potential compatibility issues or oversights I might have made?
5. Lastly, any affordable enhancements that might improve performance without breaking the bank?
I appreciate any advice you can provide! Also, just a heads up, I'm using an Alienware AW2725DM monitor, which isn't included in the component list below to keep the costs accurate.

Your GPU, the RTX 3050, will limit your build's overall performance, especially with more demanding games later on. If you're satisfied with how it runs now, it's fine to keep it for now and upgrade later when you have the funds.
As for RAM, 16GB is plenty for web browsing and casual gaming. You don’t necessarily need to upgrade to 32GB for those tasks, but it’s always a good idea to leave room for future needs!
If you're looking to save money, consider looking for cases that come with fans included rather than buying them separately, which can help trim the budget. Sometimes you can find great deals on bundles, too!
Honestly, if you want to cut costs without losing quality, I'd suggest sticking with the Intel Core i5 CPU you have listed, but you can consider a different motherboard if needed. Also, if you can find a good deal on a 16GB kit instead of 32GB, that would be ideal. It's more feasible to add another stick of RAM later if you find you need it.
You might want to look at alternative cooling solutions, too – sometimes you can find combo deals that save you cash!
Thanks for these tips! I’ll definitely explore the combo deals for cooling options.

Yeah, definitely check out bundles! I found a nice case with built-in RGB fans for a reasonable price recently.
